A Family Ranch in the Heart of Levy County

We are a small family-owned and operated cattle ranch nestled in Chiefland, Florida. What we lack in acreage we more than make up for in dedication — every animal on this property is known by sight, cared for by hand, and raised the way cattle should be: on grass, with room to roam.

Our passion is breeding quality American Aberdeen cattle — compact, gentle, and extraordinarily efficient animals that thrive in Florida's climate. We've focused our operation entirely on this breed and take pride in selecting for good temperament, easy calving, and outstanding meat quality.

"Every animal on this ranch has a purpose — and we honor that with the care and attention they deserve."

American Aberdeen — Built for This Land

American Aberdeen (also known as Lowline Angus) are a compact breed developed from pure Scottish Aberdeen Angus genetics. They stand about 40% shorter than conventional cattle, yet they're built for efficiency — producing exceptional beef while needing less pasture, less feed, and less fence than full-size breeds. Their gentle, docile nature makes them a joy to work with.

Gentle & Easy to Handle

American Aberdeen are known for their exceptionally calm temperament. Bulls, cows, and calves alike are manageable and quiet — a real advantage on a family-run operation.

Efficient on Pasture

Their compact size means they require less feed and do less damage to pasture than standard-size cattle. You can run more animals on the same land and still maintain excellent grass cover.

Premium Beef Quality

American Aberdeen produce finely marbled, tender beef with the same quality genetics as the world-renowned Aberdeen Angus breed — pound for pound, one of the best meat producers in the industry.

Easy Calving

Calves average around 22 kg at birth, making for smooth, unassisted calvings. Cows are attentive, excellent mothers who provide plenty of milk and raise vigorous calves.

Florida Climate Ready

In North Florida's heat and humidity, American Aberdeen remain healthy and productive — a practical, proven choice for our region.

Naturally Polled

American Aberdeen are naturally hornless, meaning no dehorning — safer for handlers, easier on the cattle, and one less management task on a busy ranch day.
